"Catch the Reading Bug" at Hutchinson Public Library this summer! The fun begins May 27th and lasts all summer. Children who register for our summer reading program and read ten books or read for ten hours receive a reward. Our big Summer Celebration will be held Friday, June 6th, 9-11:30am, with games, activities, community helpers, and refreshments. Summer Storytimes will be held Tuesdays and Thursday at 10:00am and 2:00pm, from June 10th through July 31st, in the children's activity room. These programs are recommended for ages 3-8. No registration is required. Come & Go Crafts will be held July 9, July 16, July 23, and July 30. Children may come anytime between 10:00am and 11:45am. No registration is required. |

Toddler Time |

Registration is required. This program is for 2 year-olds accompanied by an adult. These 30-minute programs consist of a variety of activities, including books, songs, finger-plays, flannel board stories, and puppet plays. Toddler Time can serve as a child's introduction to the library, as well as a social experience. Children have a choice of two time slots on Tuesday mornings, with sessions running in the Fall (September-November) and Winter (January-April). Registration usually begins the day after Labor Day for the Fall session, and January 2nd for the Winter session. Classes are held Tuesdays at 9:30am and 10:30am in the Spring and in the Fall. |

Preschool Story Time |

No registration is required. This program is for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds. These
50-minute programs feature activities such as books, songs, filmstrips, finger plays, flannel board stories, and puppet plays. Preschool
Story Time provides children with an opportunity to become familiar with the library's resources, and can enhance their social skills.
Children have a choice of three time slots, with sessions running in the Fall (September-December), Winter (January-April), and Summer
